About Us

In 1982 Joseph P. Steyer, CPA, started a small practice in Defiance, Ohio, after leaving a larger firm which he had also founded. He managed Steyer & Co., CPAs until 2006, overseeing its growth to include four partners and eight professional and clerical personnel. The firm continues with two partners providing professional tax, financial, and business planning and management services to a variety of auto dealerships, construction, governmental, healthcare, logistics, manufacturing, and retail clients throughout Northwest Ohio and Northeast Indiana. Steyer & Co., CPAs also serves the tax preparation and retirement and estate planning needs for individuals and families in Defiance as well as the nearby communities of Findlay, Paulding, Bryan, Toledo, and Ft. Wayne.
